Andhra Hospital has full fledged department of pulmonology & critical care medicine supported by full time Pulmonologist, trained & qualified resident doctors, round the clock intensive care specialists, trained ICU nurses, paramedical staff, respiratory therapists. The department is well equipped with flexible video bronchoscope, pulmonary function testing, peak flow meter, pulse oxymeter in OPD, sleep studies.

Department regularly deal with patients suffering with respiratory failure, bronchial asthma, pneumonia, tuberculosis, pleural diseases and & mediastinal diseases etc and difficult airway management, VATS (video assisted thoracoscopic surgery), management of foreign bodies in airway.

We deal with diagnosis - management of lung cancer, we do screening campus for lung cancer.We have regular training program for dealing respiratory emergencies and also involved various clinical studies.We are well supported by thoracic surgical department. We do lobectomies, pneumonectomies, decortication procedure etc.

We conduct regular anti smoking campaign, awareness programmes and smoking cessation classes. We are supported by trained staff in doing PFT, sleep studies and training regarding inhalational therapy.
We have a dedicated bronchoscopic suite & do regular diagnostic & therapeutic flexible fibre optic video bronchoscopy.
